SOLD - 15"x20":    A pastel enhanced watercolour painting of a Weimaraner dog.   I enhance my watercolours with pastels and graphite. Watercolours alone, tend to be rather flat and not suitable for 'life' artwork. The application of pastels lifts the portrait and creates a 3D effect which otherwise would not be possible.
Lightly detailed backgrounds work well as long as they do not interfere by taking the eye away from the subject.
